Welcome to the home page of the Drafting/CAD, Construction and Technology education programs.


The Drafting/CAD program offers students the opportunity to develop the skill and discover the opportunities related to all types of careers. Students are able to choose to focus on either mechanical or architectural drafting and are able to use industry standard CAD programs to design and develop their drawings.

Intro to Trades and Industry is a class designed to help students discover many areas of technology. We currently have 20 different modules from Depco Inc. Some modules are related to manufacturing process and include such modules as the CNC mill, CNC lathe, plastic technology, welding simulation, laser technology, and others.

The Construction program here at Belleville West consists of Intro to Construction, Construction 1-2, and Construction 3-4. Intro to Construction is a semester long course where students are introduced to construction materials and the tools associated with the trade. Construction 1-2 consists of projects associated with floor, wall, and roof framing. Also covered are lesson in plumbing, electrical, masonry, exterior and interior coverings, and finishing. Construction 3-4 consists of a two hour class where students are building a residential home in the city of Belleville.
